COVID-19 Important Updates from Gaya Opticians

Dear Gaya Opticians family,

We are all facing a truly unprecedented public health situation. The COVID-19 pandemic is having a profound impact on our way of life, affecting our families,  communities and businesses.

Our thoughts are especially with those who have been diagnosed, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery. During this unusual and testing time, we wanted to reach out to you with an update on how we are approaching the situation and planning for the reopening of our practices, once we are authorised to do so.

As you may be aware, our practices have remained closed during confinement. More than ever before, our priority and efforts are towards ensuring the health and safety of our valued employees and esteemed customers.

In light of recommendations by the local authorities, the WHO, the College of Optometrists (United Kingdom) and the Association of Optometrists (United Kingdom), we will be making a number of immediate changes to the delivery and operation of our optometric services.

A comprehensive set of measures for our Optometrists and staff has already been established. This is to ensure that we maintain the highest level of optometric care and quality of service while respecting the necessary health and safety guidelines.

As always, we value your questions, ideas and feedback.

Should you have any queries, while we are closed, please feel free to reach us via email (, our website (, or Facebook ( where our team of Optometrists will assist you.

This moment is a reminder that we are all connected like never before. Our amazing teams are here for you and ready to serve when we reopen. We are called upon to be our best selves with compassion, understanding and patience. On behalf of all our team members at Gaya Opticians, we are committed to being your eye care partner and persevering together in the days and years ahead.
