43% of adults work in a job that requires prolonged use of a digital device

Strain is normally caused by the distance between the eyes and a digital screen.

Researchers have proven that an alarming percentage of about 74% of teens aged 12-17 access the web media on a mobile, tablet and other devices at least occasionally*

A report by U.S centers for disease control and prevention stipulated that 15% of teens have at least 4 hours of exposure to TV daily*, when some add up an additional 4 hours of computer usage to it; that too ignoring smartphones exposure.

Also 73% of Millennials (adults in their 20s) report symptoms of digital eye strain*.

Digital eye strain is the physical eye discomfort felt by many individuals after 2 or more hours in front of a digital screen. According to the vision council report, 32.8% of digital devices users experience eye strain*. However digital geeks often experience other symptoms such as blurred vision, dry eyes and even headache.

Nearly 70% of adults who report regular usage of media devices experienced some symptoms of digital eye strain, but many did nothing to lessen their discomfort mainly due to lack of knowledge*
